All are welcome to join Chestnut Mountain as members. Those wishing to become members must first complete the PEAK 1 class. PEAK classes are designed to supply you with the tools and knowledge you need as you become a fully devoted follower of Christ, building a biblically functioning community of faith. The classes are divided into four segments:
Why should I go through the PEAK classes?
We believe that Christ-followers should manifest authenticity and yearn for continuous growth. The vision of CMC is to become a biblically functioning community of faith according to Acts 2:42-47. The PEAK classes are designed to accomplish this by equipping a new believer with the tools and knowledge to become a fully devoted follower of Christ. We believe that the PEAK classes add value to the life of every believer and unless a person is properly equipped they will not be adequately prepared for leadership responsibilities within the local church. Therefore, we have added the requirement that every person who desires to be in a place of leadership at CMC must attend the PEAK classes.
When are the PEAK classes offered?
The PEAK classes are offered every other month on a Sunday afternoon immediately following the 11:30 worship hour. We will provide a meal for your entire family. Childcare will be provided for children 5th grade and under.
How are the PEAK classes structured?
Each class is offered in a classroom style setting. Each PEAK class will last approximately four hours. A mid afternoon break is provided. You will receive a notebook as well as notes for each PEAK segment at the beginning of each class.
How do I sign up for a PEAK class?
- You can check a box on the back of your Communication Card on Sundays in the Worship Center
