We are partnering with Samaritan's Purse for a Build Trip in Asheville, NC from Sunday, August 30 to Friday, September 4. During this trip, our team will continue to help repair and rebuild homes as a result of Hurricane Helene in September 2024. There will be an interest meeting for those interested in being a part of this trip on Sunday, June 21 in the West Lobby Atrium following the 8:00, 9:30, and 11:00 am services.
Samaritan’s Purse is ministering to Buncombe County, NC in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. In September of 2024, Hurricane Helene tore through western North Carolina, dumping extreme rainfall and causing catastrophic damage, leaving parts of the region in ruins. Far beyond the physical help you will extend to the homeowners, the spiritual and emotional support you offer to them is even more important. Rebuild volunteers will work to rebuild and repair homes damaged during this event.
Volunteers will assist in rebuilding and repairing homes in the Buncombe County, NC area. No skills are necessary prior to serving. Staff will instruct and guide volunteers through completion of rebuild tasks. Meals and sleeping quarters will be provided. Tools will be provided, but volunteers may bring their own tool belts and small hand tools.
Minimum Age: Volunteers must be at least 14 years old. Youth, ages 14-17, must be accompanied by their parent/legal guardian.
