More About ThiS Trip

The Nepal Missions Trips through T.R.E.K. Nepal T.(Transform) R.(Reinforce) E.(Encourage) K.(Known) focus primarily on encouraging Nepali and Tibetan guides in their faith and allowing them access to remote areas by trekking. According to the missionary in country, “We need people to pray and come to Nepal. For our strategy to work, we need prayer and warm bodies to come to Nepal and trek.”

Why this trip?

  • To support the efforts of IMB Missionaries who live and serve full-time in Nepal.
  • Because trekking to the remote villages in Nepal will challenge and change you!
  • The National Believers in-country, both Tibetan and Nepali, need trekkers to have access to these areas.

What will people be doing on this trip?

  • Prayer walking.
  • Trekking, teaching, training, serving and learning/growing.
  • Talking with and discipling the guides/porters as we trek, sharing testimonies, Bible stories, and overall encouraging the believers in the country.
  • Potential for gospel sharing (we should be prepared to do this, but it might not occur from us – it will most likely occur from the Nationals.
  • Experiencing Nepal, assisting in the work being done, and exploring potential partnerships.

What should people expect?

  • To be flexible, patient, humbled, challenged, and to be confronted with the reality of missions work in a 3rd world country. There is a certain level of physicality required to trek in the Himalayan Range. *mules available
  • Langtang Valley and the Guest Houses can be cold at night – proper clothing/gear is essential.
